My experience with Gary at Osborne Engineering was fantastic. We were pressed for time due to our option period expiring in just a couple days. Gary was able to come do his inspection the day after i called. He also was able to expedite getting the report to us the same day! He went above and beyond to make sure we had the info we needed to take to the seller. Turns out he helped us avoid getting taken advantage of by the seller. They wanted to do a repair bid that Gary said was very inadequate for the problem at hand. I would recommend Osborne Engineering for anyone needing a licensed opinion on your foundation issues.

Osborne Engineering completed a foundation inspection on a new home we were considering purchasing. Mr. Osborne , who was prompt with communication and flexible in scheduling, completed a thorough inspection of the home. But most importantly, he provided critical information after the inspection and took time to carefully explain industry terms and findings. Structural engineer, Greg Osborne, just finished an evaluation of our home. He takes very detailed measurements and explains everything; the problems, the solutions, and the preventive issues that will help maintain a repaired foundation.

I am in the process of buying a home (built in the 1960s). Due to records of past foundation repair work, I wanted someone NOT associated with the warranty company to provide an objective assessment of the current status of the structure, to make sure there were no major foundation issues that would be a deal-breaker in moving forward with the purchase. I was referred to Osborne Engineering. The person who took my call was very professional and courteous (female). I explained to her that I was up against a tight schedule needing the inspection done quickly to move forward within the option period. She tentatively scheduled the inspection for the next day at noon, stating she would check with engineer to make sure he could make that appointment. As promised, I received a follow up call that afternoon and the appointment was confirmed. I met Gary Osborne (structural engineer) at the property to review his findings. He too, was professional and very thorough. He showed me his findings and took the time to explain any concerns and his recommendations to ensure the foundation was taken care of properly. The next morning, I received a report outlining everything we discussed in more detail. This gave me peace of mind in moving forward with the purchase of the home. His report will be helpful to refer back to in making sure that his recommendations are followed as time and money permits. If you are in need of structural engineer, I highly recommend Gary!
